I run out of luck by missing Marathon Tel Aviv 2012 after a virus attack that left me no choice to end up in bed with a 39.9 degrees fever. only one day before the race. i was writing for the past few months about my goal to end up running this 10k race officially for the firs time as an amateur runner. i practice this time by the book and had the greatest training running time that i ever had period. after a week i started thinking about get on course again but this is not easy. i was in a very good shape and after 8 days of doing nothing but laying in bed and drinking gallons of water my momentum was gone. in order to get into a good training plan i looked for the right one. after all i took only 8 days off. i have got to get my body strength again. there was not one plan that can be feet to the state i was in. i thought of starting again from zero but something was telling me it is a waste of precious time. my moral was down. i needed a new anchor. a new goal. i was reading Murakami’s ”What I Talk About When I Talk About Running”. and he was so right for something. if you do not ave a desire in the morning to put on you running shoes and go out for a run, don’t. not because you can’t. you got to have a desire for it otherwise it is worthless.
well, i lost it for a while. what got me back on track this time was the arrival of my new Suunto Ambit at last. i had to check him up on the field. that got me outdoor in a very hot day running on Hod Hasharon fields passing snakes and bees in the hot sun. one thing for sure about the ambit. he is lite and very accurate compare to Nike+ GPS app that added +800 meter to the same run. if you want to train right and get better you have got to be accurate. i decided to listen to my body and take it easy by adding more and more km every week. if you had the same experience and got a good recovery training plan share with us.
keep you posted soon on the progress.
Keep on running!
